Your Flextight, ready for another twenty years.
20More runs on a small, ready-made Mac next to the scanner. You scan from any browser on your network, from Image Capture or straight into Photoshop.
Everything you need to scan – nothing you don't.
Built from scratch for the scanners that are still the best at what they do, and for the Macs that can still talk to them.
Scan from any browser
Preview, crop, set levels and scan from the Mac, PC or tablet on your desk. Nothing to install – and the heavy work runs on the FlexMini, so your own computer stays free.
Image Capture and Photoshop
The scanner shows up in Image Capture and Preview on every Mac on the network. A Photoshop plug-in scans straight into a 16-bit document.
16-bit TIFF, JPEG and 3F
Raw 3F files that open where your old ones did, 16-bit TIFFs for editing, JPEGs for sharing. Film presets for colour and black-and-white negatives.
HDR – extended shadow range
On the X1, X5 and 848, a second long-exposure pass is merged into the scan: up to 50 % less noise in dense slides and deep shadows, with no loss of detail.
Calibration and service
Guided calibration with automatic backups, a dust check for sensor and lens, a maintenance reminder, and the part numbers for your model.
Straight to your cloud
Finished scans can go to pCloud, Google Drive or S3 by themselves – or stay on the Mac. A phone alert tells you when a long scan is done.
Several scanners on one FlexMini
Connect up to four Flextights to one FlexMini – each with its own settings and calibration, and they can scan at the same time (tested with two scanning in parallel). Switch between them with one click.
Public scanner – for renting out scan time
For labs, schools and studios where different people book the scanner. Renters save to a shared folder or their own computer, no thumbnails, raw files or scan history are kept, and one click on Next customer empties the scan folder for the next person.
Private and offline
Everything runs in your studio. The Mac only goes online when you check for updates or connect a cloud service you chose.
One clean page. The scanner does the rest.
Scanning software tends to grow into walls of buttons, tabs and settings nobody remembers. 20More goes the other way: everything you need is on one calm page, and everything else stays out of sight until you ask for it.
Only what your scanner can do
The page adapts to the connected model. Functions that don't apply to your Flextight are simply not there – no greyed-out menus, no guessing.
Preview, crop, scan
Three steps for most scans. Holder, film type and resolution are remembered, and good defaults mean you rarely touch more than the Scan button.
Plain language
Messages say what happened and what to do next – "take the holder out", "the lamp is warming up" – not error codes.
Guided, not cluttered
Calibration and service run step by step, with a backup first. Technical tools sit on a hidden tab for the few who need them.
Calm to look at
A neutral 18 % grey behind the picture so colours read true, light and dark themes, and a layout that works just as well on a tablet.
Always tells you where you are
Progress and an estimated finish time for every scan, a clear sign when the scanner is busy, and finished files waiting in the download list.
The Scan and Calibration pages in your browser, with made-up slides – no scanner needed.
New to a Flextight? 20Morgan shows you around.
20Morgan is the little guide that lives on every page of 20More. Press his button and he walks you through your first scan – holder, preview, crop, colours, file format – pointing at one control at a time and explaining it in plain words.
He follows what you do: when the preview is there, he moves on by himself. On the Status and Calibration pages he shows you where everything is. And he never changes a setting himself – you stay in charge.
A small Mac does the old-fashioned part.
Flextights talk FireWire, which new computers no longer have. The FlexMini – a compact Mac with FireWire, delivered ready to use – connects to the scanner and serves everything else over your network.
It also does all the heavy lifting: driving the scanner, processing 16-bit files, merging HDR passes and uploading to your backup service. Your own computer's CPU and memory stay free for editing – or for anything else – while a long scan runs.
Plug in, switch on, open http://flexmini.local:8080 – and scan.

One licence per Mac – as many scanners as you like.
Simple
The licence belongs to the Mac, not the scanner. Swap or add scanners whenever you want.
Updates included
New versions arrive through the Status page, with release notes – one click to install.
Ready to scan
The FlexMini arrives set up and licensed. Without a licence the software stays in read-only mode.
FAQ
Do I need to install anything on my own computer?
No. You use a web browser, or Image Capture which is already on every Mac. The Photoshop plug-in is optional.
Will my old 3F files still work?
Yes. Your 3F files open in the usual places.
Why a separate Mac?
Flextights use FireWire, and current Macs and macOS versions no longer support it. The FlexMini keeps that part stable, so you can use any modern computer to scan.
What if I already have my own Mac?
That is coming. 20More is released first on the FlexMini – the small, ready-made Mac that sits next to the scanner. A version for your own Mac follows later: an Intel Mac with FireWire – built in (like a Mac mini 2012) or through Apple's Thunderbolt-to-FireWire adapter – on macOS up to 15 Sequoia (macOS 26 Tahoe and later no longer support FireWire). Tell us which Mac you have and we'll let you know when it is ready.
Can it break my scanner?
Normal scanning only does what the scanner was built to do. Calibration and service functions back up the scanner's settings before they change anything. Read the licence terms for the details.
Does it need the internet?
Not for scanning – scanning, calibration and converting all work without internet. When it is online, it uses the internet a little: to check for updates, to fetch your licence, to show the scanner manuals and to keep the spare parts list current. Cloud uploads and phone notifications are only used if you turn them on. Your scans are never sent anywhere unless you set that up.
